Entrance Requirements

To be eligible for admission under the Direct Admissions Scheme to Senior Year Places (DAS), candidates should be graduates of recognised full-time Associate Degree (AD) or Higher Diploma (HD) programmes in community colleges in Hong Kong which should be of at least two years in duration.  Final-year students on such programmes can also apply and their applications will be considered subject to their completion of the programme by August 2013.

For the BA and the BSc(IM) programmes, sub-degree graduates from all disciplines are eligible for applying.  Candidates seeking admission to the majors of “English Studies” and “Language and Communication” under the BA programme may wish to note that these majors require students to have achieved Level 5 or better in English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) examination, or grade C or better in AS Use of English in Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE); or the equivalent.

As for other programmes (i.e. BSC, BSS, BENG and BNURS), sub-degree graduates should be from the same or related disciplines.

You may wish to note that admission of sub-degree graduates into senior year places is based on merit and is not influenced by the community college they are studying.

If you are also interested in admission as a first-year student under the four-year curriculum, you may include first-year programmes among your programme choice in the DAS application. For first-year programmes, your application will be considered together with other applicants from the non-JUPAS admissions scheme and you are expected to fulfil the same requirements applicable to non-JUPAS applicants.
