Credit Transfer

Advanced standing may be granted to students in recognition of studies completed successfully elsewhere. The number of advanced credits to be granted will be determined in accordance with the following principle:

For the 4-year cohort, a minimum of four semesters of study earning 120 credits at this University shall be required for the award of an undergraduate degree.

The number of credits to be transferred will be determined by faculties after your having been admitted to the University. Advanced credits granted are not normally included in the calculation of the student's GPA, but may be recorded on the transcript of the student.

Applicants who have completed the GCE A-level / IB curriculum and 13 years of schooling prior to entering the University may be eligible for consideration of up to 60 credits of advanced standing.

Application for transfer of credits and / or direct entry to the second or later year of study should be made at the same time of application for admission by completing the relevant section in the application form and enclosing a university transcript. Application will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
