1. Financial matters
The Scheme of HKU “China 1,000 Exchange Programme” was launched in 2012 by the Central Government, aiming to support around 1,000 HKU teachers and students to visit the Mainland every year. The funding covers the expenses of programme activities, accommodation and local transportation for HKU students participating short-term summer exchange programmes organized by Mainland universities. However, travelling expenses between HK and the Mainland destination have to be borne by the students themselves.
