U21 Programme in Global Issues  
 

The U21 Programme in Global Issues is a multi-disciplinary curriculum spanning the boundaries of traditional education, where students will work collaboratively with other students from around the world. It will provide graduates with globally relevant knowledge and skills which will enable them to live and work successfully within the societies they will help lead.

News about the Programme

 

30 August 2006: Two new courses are now available from the University of Melbourne. The details of all the U Melbourne courses are available here.

18 May 2006: Results from the first evaluation of the programme available. These results were presented to a meeting of the Universitas 21 consortium univerity Vice-Chancellors / Presidents at a meeting of the consortium in Auckland this month. 5 Oct 2005. Discussion Board for HKU students enrolled inthe programme is now available at http://www.hku.hk/discuspro/.

27 Sept 2005: New release: A Press Release about this Programme will be issued this week.

26 Sept 2005: Reminder about the requirements: You must successfully complete FOUR modules to be awarded the Certificate. The Programme will be available to students through a combination of online modules and face-to-face learning modules. You will be required to complete one compulsory online module (offered by the University of British Columbia), and can choose from a range of elective modules. You are expected to complete fifty per cent of the Programme through at least one other partner university, whether online or by studying in a normal face-to-face module while you are on exchange at that university.

 

 

News on the latest on-line module offerings

A selection of campus-based modules will be available to students from all participating universities who enrol as exchange students from Summer 2005. Partner universities have developed, or are in the process of developing, a series of interactive online subjects, which are designed to promote collaborative e-learning and to complement the core curriculum. Details of each university's offerings and information is available separately at each university by clicking on the links in the blue-grey box above.
