Amazing Vegetarian Indian Food

I’ ve always heard of how amazing the Indian food is at Tsim Sha Tsui but only recently have I gotten the chance to try it.

I was recommended this place called Branto, on 1/F, 9-11 Lock Road, TST. Its a small humble restaurant on the first floor with about 10-12 tables–a place that you wouldn’t notice if you were just walking along the street looking for  a place to eat. You’d have to really know the place exists and that’s why I think it’s kinda special!

The word "PURE" is actually true

Being a Malaysian and having tasted Indian food in Malaysia before, I find that this place offers genuine Indian food, with little to no modifications–which usually happens with foreign foods, in bad attempts to suit the taste of locals–to the taste and presentation of the dishes.

The first thing that came to our table is Dahi Puri, with the most amazing yoghurt sprinkled with crispy little thingies and served with mint chutney.

Dosa (In Malaysia, we call it Thosai). It is a kind of crepe served with coconut chutney and curry.

I think this is called the Pav Bhaji, served with buns and onion.

And my super favourite, Paneer Tikka Masala (paneer is a kind of cheese)

If you love curries and you think you can take spicy food (and I don’t mean the typical Hong Kong level of spicy–which in my opinion, isn’t spicy at all) then I highly recommend this authentic Indian restaurant to all my fellow food adventurers.
