Beijing Video Diary
Spring in Beijing is cold and dry and windy and nothing like Hong Kong. But Spring in Beijing is also sunny and bright and nice, giving the city a vibrant vibe, a true embodiment of the season. After more than a decade or so since my first visit when I was just a five-year-old toddler bundled up in layers of anoraks and scarves and hello kitty mittens, I revisited the “Northern Capital” earlier this (reading) week in hopes to rekindle the memories I had among the old walls and courtyards of this famous city. Rummaging through the hutongs or “little roads” on a rickshaw was a history lesson itself, so I’m not even a tiny bit guilty for not finishing my readings during this “institutionalized study break”. Just saying. If a picture is worth a thousand words, I don’t know how many words it’s worth, a moving picture. Watch the video below, and yes, I filmed in Tiananmen Square. Very rebellious, I know.
