Cricket is not just a sport in India and Pakistan, it is a religion. We have been brought up to be archrivals, winning against each other is all that matters.

When I joined the HKU cricket team, I saw myself playing along with the Pakistani players in the same unit. Surprisingly or not, we have the same meals, same dress sense and similar appearances with an intense passion for the sport.

The initial mindset that I had about Pakistanis faded out as we spent time together. Then I realized it’s the mindset and the initial block that restricts us from making the first move towards each other.

My personal experience with Pakistanis, motivated me to tell people back home in both countries how stereotyping has marred the relationship between the two countrymen.

Here, with my teammates from JMSC, I present you a documentary made by us and about us, Indians and Pakistanis at HKU, where we’re not confined by boundaries nor political/religious barriers.
