HKU Celebrates Holi – Photos

March 13, 2015 / by / 0 Comment

Hey everyone,

This year’s Reading Week was welcomed on Monday by Holi: India’s most vibrant festival.  Celebrating Holi is simple: there is coloured powder, there is water (or beer, or any liquid there is, really…), and there are people. There are no rules.

Organized by the HKU South Asian Society (SAS) and Student Cultural Exchange Network (SCENe) on Repulse Bay, the week began with my favourite celebration in the calendar. For a first look at some of the photos from the event, scroll down below.

For more information, and my perspective, about this magical colour-filled festival click here to see a full article about Holi written by myself, from last year. And for an alternative, outsider’s perspective on Holi, click here for hKUDOS’ blogger Kimmie’s own thoughts on how she felt while playing!

Enjoy the photos, and happy Holi!  - Niki
