Social Media Experiment: A Month Without the Facebook App

April 03, 2015 / by / 0 Comment

I realized that I, like many other generation-Y kids, am addicted to Facebook.

I’m sure you’d agree with me when I say Facebook is probably the “evilest” of all forms of procrastination, for it fuels our delays day by day – or, more accurately, scroll by scroll. After giving the issue some thought, I came to the hypothesis that it’s probably the user-friendliness and convenience that the app offers that keeps me unconsciously opening the app and scrolling through my feed.

As a result, over the course of 9th – 30th March, I deleted the Facebook App off my iPhone for a social media experiment. The only way for me to access Facebook on any mobile device was logging in through Safari or Chrome.

Check out this video to see what I’ve learnt living the life without the square blue button on my phone.
