Welcome to the One World Website
One World is the first comprehensive publication of the University about the valuable experience gained by our students through different types of international programmes such as academic exchange, overseas social services, cultural tours, internships and attendance at international conferences. This book provides, for the first time, a snapshot of students' involvement and the learning outcomes in overseas activities. It aims to highlight the whole person education approach, internationalisation and fostering of global citizenship at HKU.
We hope the publication will be useful in helping current and prospective students understand the exciting learning opportunities available at HKU, and challenge them to start their lifelong journey of global citizenship.
In addition, One World also promotes appreciation of HKU’s educational approach among our stakeholders: parents, school principals, alumni, donors, and partner institutions. Hopefully it provides insights relevant for the development of the 4-year curriculum.
